The Marvel Universe begins here with the legendary Fantastic Four #1! Robb and Bryan go panel-by-panel through the issue that started it all and nerd out about what still feels fresh after nearly 60 years, what doesn't hold up as well, and whether or not there's a more generic character name than The Thing (there isn't).
Note: We started out by titling these episodes with the cover date (the date that's printed on the cover), but we switched to their newsstand dates (the dates they went on sale) around episode #50. The newsstand date for this episode is August 1961.
